StudentsLive, A Global Arts Education Company and Passport to Broadway International are proud to announce a premiere partnership with the Djarum Foundation of Indonesia that exists to "bring Indonesia forward by increasing the quality of its human resources and maintain the sustainability of its natural resources". StudentsLive and Djarum Foundation have developed a "Model Broadway Musical Theater Intensive Training Program" that will immerse young aspiring artists from all over Indonesia in Musical Theater skills and educational access. The premiere program takes place in Jakarta, Indonesia from February 20 – 24, 2019. Select students will be invited to return to New York in July 2019. The Passport to Broadway Creative Team is led by Artistic Director Amy Weinstein (Tony Randall's National Actors Theater, Director of Education, Adjunct Professor at the American Musical Dramatic Academy in New York and Director and Co-writer with Annette Cardona (Cha Cha from the movie Grease) of TYA Tour of Second Chance on the West Coast. PBS/WGBH teleplay development and Associate Producer of Second Chance). Musical Director Seth Weinstein (Internationally toured with Fosse and Ivan Jacob's The Phantom of the Opera). Choreographer/Associate Director Stephen Brotebeck (Professor at San Diego State University, Choreographer/Associate Movement Director (Ghost the Musical on Broadway and Peter and the Starcatcher on Broadway). In this difficult and changing global climate, StudentsLive and Passport to Broadway are honored to be able to work with organizations such as the Djarum Foundation to provide better understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures and societies across the globe through the universal disciplines of outstanding Theater Studies.
